This is a clever series, and one I wouldn’t mind checking out. Too bad they don’t have one simply titled “The 33 Biggest Mistakes Writers Make.” Heheh.

I was interested in the Kindle, very interested, but discovered that it could not receive texts in Mexico. I thought that meant it was only available in the U.S. Did you see one that worked in Argentina?

I’m using it now, but Benning’s War was done on a Brother Word Processor, then a DOS computer, a Windows 95 computer, and finally a Windows 98 computer. Editing for publication? I had my XP machine! LOL

Oh, and I began on an electric typewriter borrowed from my parents - I had to learn how to type while starting my story. ; )

Rough Draft is the word processing program you want. It’s free - donation-ware, actually - and it works. Download it and give it a try. I rarely use Word, Works, or even Notepad anymore.

I regret that ir became hard to understand: I had yo cut it down as it was even longer than it is (too long!). The point I try to make is that in the Argentine rallies the spectator’s meal - a traditional outdoor asado, is as (or more) important than the racing cars themselves. On this year’s occasion a farmers strike had deprived spectators of the customary ration of beef: most had to “make do” with chicken or pork or whatever, no beef.
